Driving Experience Day for 14 - 16 year olds

Great day out and prep for learning to drive

PART ONE £250pp

Full day of driving experience (split into half day of theory activities and half day practical driving sessions and held throughout the day) with qualified and fully insured driving instructors in dual controlled cars and on private land, price includes lunch.

The theory sessions include hazard perception- how aware are you?, tyre and wheel health, the effects of drinking, drugs, and use of mobiles whilst driving- just how distracting are they?. Also dashboard lights, maintaining under the bonnet- how do you refill oil? and road signs- what is the basic theory behind signage?

The practical/driving in- car learning includes how to move a car and how to stop, changing gears and steering. Then applying this to manoeuvres.

Maximum 8 students per day with 2 per car in 15 – 20 minute sessions, with a minimum of 1 hour's driving a car per person throughout the day ( learn, practice, rest and repeat!)

PART TWO... three.... four.... five....six etc!

Revisit us to practice and develop your driving skills.

What did you do well? What would you like to develop? What was hard? Consider bay parking, reversing the chicane, emergency stops, reversing round a corner and more!

GROUPS AND CLASSES

We can offer discounts for groups of two or more on the driving days listed below.

Additionally we offer short taster sessions for groups, please note we must consider the size of land available to host a driving session in an alternative location.

Prices available on request and vary dependent on content of taster session.

If we need to change dates, due to COVID 19 restrictions or instructor illness, we will advise you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date or full refund.

If you need to change dates we will offer an available change of date or location, or a partial refund if fully paid.

You are miracle workers. Thank you so much for running this course. You managed to transform the usual zombie grunting 14 year old, into a human.

Adam grinned from ear to ear from finishing, to leaving our house later. He giggled, not a teenager thing to do, telling us about switching the wipers on by accident. We were all informed about differences in English and Scottish law. God help his Mum on their journey home. He was checking that his Grandad was in the correct driving position when we were driving off from the stadium.

Please thank the instructor that took him in the car. The words she used to describe Adam to his Mum meant more to her than how he had driven.

I was so worried that I had over-sold this as a present. He has known he was having an extra special present for the last 2 years, no sweat you all came up trumps.
